Astra Carpets Derby complete nursery makeover

Astra Carpets Derby have just completed a stunning refurbishment of The Treetops Children’s Nursery in Duffield. Astra have been successfully completing nursery refurbishments for the Treetops chain of nurseries for ten years now.  The Duffield nursery was closed for two weeks and the work was completed on schedule to the delight of the users and staff alike.

Practical flooring with a contemporary feel

An oak style vinyl flooring from Polyflor’s Forest FX collection was installed in all of the children’s rooms. This heavy duty vinyl is currently specified for all Treetops Nursery refurbishments, and has proved particularly hardwearing and very practical.

Working in conjunction with Greenhill Construction

The refurbishment was managed by Greenhill Construction Ltd of Derby, with whom we have a very good working relationship. With the nursery closed we were able to get in and quickly up lift all the existing flooring. Our fitting teams then had to re-screed all the solid floors, and make good the plyboard over the wood sub floors. Fitting the sheet vinyl material was completed over 5 days and the building was handed back over by Greenhill Construction on time.

We now work with Greenhill on other projects
